Since 1995, the association HCI eV (Hope for the Children International) has been helping orphans and needy families in the Dorohoi region in north-eastern Romania.
The Northeast is the "poorhouse" of the country. We at HCI eV try to alleviate the misery of children in particular with care and educational offers and give them a perspective for the future.
Our task
HCI's mission is to help children in crisis situations across Romania by providing a strong, Christian home for every child living on campus while ensuring that each child is loved unconditionally and their physical, spiritual and emotional needs are met needs are met.

A big family
Our HCI mission station was established through the commitment of many volunteers and skilled workers from Germany, Austria and America. Many have traveled to Dorohoi year after year to build our children's village houses, our kindergarten, our school, guest apartments, warehouses, and the sports/multipurpose hall.
Many volunteers from Austria, America and Germany come to Dorohoi and teach our kindergarten and school children through educational projects and together with us serve poor children from the surrounding villages with the gospel at our HCI summer camps.
